Howell Clyborne is Vice President of Community and Governmental Affairs at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. He joined Greenville Health System in 1998. Clyborne is responsible for the health system’s marketing, public relations, physician relations and governmental affairs.
Before joining Prisma Health, he served as deputy chief of staff of the Office of the Governor of South Carolina and as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives.
Clyborne is a member of the South Carolina Economic Board of Advisors and was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by the governor of South Carolina in 1994 and 1997. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg.
